About
I'm a Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacometrician.
My interests are in the PK/PD relationships of antimicrobials, with a special focus on TB & malaria. I have over a decade of Clinical Trial experience and consider myself a lifelong learner. I believe we should all work towards sharing our knowledge and skills to help improve patient care.
Analytical experience:
Pharmacometrics, Ph.D. – University of Cape Town & University of Uppsala
Next generation Scientist (Novartis modeling & simulation group)
Applied PK/PD modeling & Monte Carlo simulation (NONMEM, R, PsN) - interest in antimicrobial PK/PD
Clinical practice experience:
Clinical Pharmacist at a private tertiary hospital
Together with a cross-disciplinary team, established & chaired the hospital's Antimicrobial Stewardship program.
Provide & support TDM services – strong emphasis on evidence-based practice (e.g., applied vancomycin AUC-based guidelines)
Hospital & Pharmacy of the year award (Life Hospital 2022)
Clinical research experience:
Responsible Pharmacist & Operations Manager for Clinical Research Centre (Investigator & Industry-lead lead studies)
Exceeds award – received from University’s Vice-Chancellor
Good Clinical Practice (GCP) qualified instructor (ICH-GCP) & IATA qualified
Experienced in early Phase I (1st in human) through to late Phase III studies (regulatory)
Experienced in both Investigator-Initiated & Industry-lead studies.

Clinical Pharmacokinetic teaching at post-graduate level – Forensic Biomedical Science MSc.
Medical Research Statistics at post-graduate Level – MMed medical students
Train the trainer – Provided GCP training to clinical trial investigators (Principal investigators) & associated support staff.
Antimicrobial Stewardship training was provided to ICU & associated hospital staff.
